Christmas Town USA History

Mr. McAdenville Men's Club and Farin's founder and president at that time, The lighting tradition started when Mr. W.J. Farr came up

with the concept of utilizing red, white, and green lights to adorn the trees surrounding the McAdenville Community Center.

Christmas Town, U.S.A.® received national exposure in 1980 when it was sung with Charles Kuralt on CBS Sunday Morning.

Since then, in addition to prominent magazines like Southern Living, Good Morning America, Carolina Impact - 2017 Christmas Town, and television series like Christmas Town USA.

From December 1 to 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the city will shine with festive cheer.

Whether you want to drive around the city or stroll through the park with friends and family, you will definitely enjoy the Christmas Town celebrations.

While visiting the historic downtown district, listen to the sounds of the season as the bells play Christmas songs.
